- On NPR, Ball Comments on Plans to Rank Teacher Education Programs
On May 10, Deborah Ball appeared on NPR's Morning Edition to discuss the National Council on Teacher Quality's plans to rank and review over 1000 U.S. teacher preparation programs. The effort has drawn criticism from education professionals - a number of programs may not supply data for the ratings. Ball briefly remarks on the standards NCTQ will use to rate programs, questioning their relevance. The U-M School of Education will produce the data requested for NCTQ's ratings.
