- Deborah Ball Comments on NCTQ Teacher Education Report
Deborah Ball's remarks on a recent report released by the National Council on Teacher Quality (NCTQ) were published in a July 21 article on the Chronicle of Higher Education site. The NCTQ report described the majority of U.S. teacher preparation programs as "weak" or "poor". Ball acknowledged that the report raised important questions but remarked that real reform will require direct assessments of student teachers' capabilities. Ball's comments were also published in the Huffington Post.
