On Sunday, April 2nd, 2006 at 7:00pm, the Michigan Pops Orchestra celebrated its tenth anniversary with The Best of Pops, a show featuring program highlights from Pops concerts over the past decade! The orchestra presented audience members with a variety of well-known movie music, Broadway hits, and classical favorites! Repertoire included themes from Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, and Star Wars: Duel of the Fates as well as "Seasons of Love" from Rent, "Les Toreadors" from Bizet's Carmen, and Gershwin's Cuban Overture. In combining the Pops' crowd-pleasing program with vocal soloists; conductors from the past, present and future; antics; and multimedia effects; the concert was a unique and entertaining experience for all!
