Map(s):
http://www.odci.gov/cia/publications/factbook/geos/tv.html This map gives
a general overview of the islands as well as select economic and social
facts.
http://members.nbci.com/janeresture/tuvalumaps/tuvalu.htm Although it's
quite large, this map is very detailed.
http://members.nbci.com/_XMCM/janeresture/tuvalu2000/index.htm There are
lots of pictures on this page, but the map near the top is excellent to
get a general orientation of Tuvalu's relationship with neighboring island
nations.
Individual island/island groups-these are very helpful for local specifics:

http://www.tbc.gov.bc.ca/cwgames/country/Tuvalu/tuvalu.html Just in case
the above sites aren't working or are out of order (I've had trouble with
them and they take a long time to load), try this page for another general
(and manageable) map of Tuvalu.
General:
http://members.nbci.com/_XOOM/gray/janeresture/tuvalu/tuvalu.html This is
a personal web page devoted to Tuvalu, but it is quite extensive. The information
is salient and concise, providing historical, cultural, and tourist (including
places to stay, where to eat, where to go shopping, what else to do, and
how to get there) information. Everything is augmented with pictures and
entertaining graphics. Don't miss the links at the bottom!
http://members.nbci.com/tuvaluonline/ Another site devoted to Tuvalu. According
to David Stanley: "Everything you wanted to know about Tuvalu."
http://tuvalu.tv/ THE site for Tuvalu and the .tv domain name. You will
find Links to Tuvalu news and photos (virtual tours).
http://www.tbc.gov.bc.ca/cwgames/country/Tuvalu/tuvalu2.html See the flag
and words to the national anthem.
Photos:
http://members.nbci.com/_XMCM/janeresture/tuvalu2000/index.htm Lots of "contemporary"
pictures from around Tuvalu.
Also, check the first three sites listed under "General."
Music:
http://www.tevaka.com/tevaka.html A contemporary band based in NZ but closely
associated with Tuvalu. You can download short sound clips and buy the band's
CDs and other merchandise.
There is information on Tuvalu out there. However, compared to other
Pacific island countries, I've found that it is quite scattered. Many of
the sites contain links, but few reference each other. So, make sure to
check multiple pages if you don't find what you're looking for right away.
The information about music and dance also seems to be less plentiful than
other locations. I'm sure there are sites out there, though, and it may
be worth an extended search.
