Safely at the gates I promptly drew forth my sketch of Connie and Trumped him. He was in Caine's quarters along with Quinn and Mandor. He pulled me through. "I have the mental signature of the Logrus mage who is laying siege to my shadow. Can you sketch him for me?" I asked hurriedly. He agreed. I passed him the image of the madman, and he went right to work. Mandor was interested. I shared the image with him and he identified the Chaosite to be Jurt. Quinn informed me that they had not yet found Frakir. She and Mandor soon departed to continue the search.

Although I know he drew quickly it seemed to take forever for Connie to finish the Trump.

We pushed on the Trump.
   There was a harsh resistance.
      I would not give up.
         I pushed harder and harder.
            Things became confused

Connie left to fetch assistance
he did not return

WHAT NEWS IS THIS? Luke missing
Connie missing
Locke missing

I could not break Jurt down.

                            Too tired.

I think Quinn and Mandor were here. Jessica is here now.

I pieced the story together as Jessica and I rushed up to Random's room. Luke had escaped. The guards though they had found him. I wondered if Jessica had found a chance to replace Random's guard with her own. If she did, it was they who lay scattered unconcious in the halls. Where was Random? Did he have the jewel? We knew shortly enough. Jessica bounded up the stairs and gracefully jump-kicked Random's door aside. We were witness to the very scene of the crime. Flora and Vialle lay on the floor as Jade, clutching the jewel, waved to Jessica and dived backwards out the window. I set to work reviving Vaille and Flora, neither of which were badly injured. Flora blessed me with the words "Oh Simon, you precious little lamb." as she awoke. It made me smile.

Everything had happened too fast. To top it off Quinn returned with the news that they had found Frakir and evidence that suggested Martin had murdered Merlin. Furthermore Martin was among the many missing.

I needed rest, but instead I lead a hellride to capture Martin. Here's how it turned out.
