We Trumped right up to the gates of Castle Amber. Pretty good.
The gate were wide open so we strolled in. The guards seemed to
recognize us. Did I sense some nervousness in them? The castle
was huge, so I flagged down a page and had him give us a tour.
He showed us the stables (been there), the kitchens, the grain
storage, the main well, etc. It was interesting and useful, but
I felt that Connie was losing interest. He has such a short
attention span. Luckily, I received a Trump call just then.
It was Locke and he wanted to join us, so I pulled him through.
By the stars, is he heavy. Locke suggested we experiment with
Trumps. I was also eager to see Connie render a Trump, so we
asked the page to guide us to ink and paper. He brought us to
a store room.
We talked for a while in the store room about our training
sessions and about the state of politics in Amber. Shortly,
Locke suggested we move to the library, and he led the way.
Before we could get propperly settled in I received a Trump
call. It was Bleys and it sounded urgent, so
we all Trumped to him.
