One moment we were trying in vain to activate the portal and the next thing I remember is Locke shaking me awake. We had been transported to RoseAmber alright, but it had knocked us all unconcious. I gave everyone a cursory physical examination, but there appeared to be no signed of any physical damage. I assumed we were all unharmed. Strangely the horses were all stick concious.

Shortly after we gathered ourselves together we spotted a man hanged by his arms on crossed wooden planks. It turned out to be Ganelon, Corwin's advisor. We helped him down and healed and rehydrated him. Ganelon related the story of the forces of Chaos conquering RoseAmber. He was heavily depressed and implored Quinn to forsake this lost land and return to safety. Quinn would hear nothing of it. We trumped Merlin and transfered Ganelon through to safety as we crafted a plan to free Corwin.

The plan was to levitate in a low window and make our way through the castle to the dungeon. We could then escape by Trumping to Merlin or by shifting shadow. We waited until nighttime to make our move, and get several hours of sleep in the mean time.

At about midnight we put our plan into action.
