Now that I've had time to reflect on our recent travels through shadow I've come to the conclusion that there are many elements which are truly foreign to me. I suspect that this is normal - to be expected in infinite and sometimes chaotic shadows. I will probably encounter much more that is totally unfamiliar than that which is comfortable and predictable. I reacted poorly at first to Texas, and very possibly I behaved in an unwise manner in Chicago too. The others have not had as hard a time. These places were much like their earths, but my world is different, and I must be more careful.
