Arab Student Association at the University of Michigan*-Countries

Because of the many Arab countries which span two continents, the Association is aware that we are not all the same. We vary from couscous to riz, from "eh" to "ah." However, we absolutely encourage Arab unity.

This is the Arab League flag to represent all of the Arab countries. The Arab League was formed in Cairo in 1945, beginning with 7 countries. It now has 22 countries, not including India & Eritrea as observers.

This was the Arab Revolt flag of 1916. It was the beginning of the use of red, green, black & white as pan-Arab colors, which many of the Arab countries still use today for their flags.
