From Poems with No First Names
the elephant is in love with the millimeter
the snail dreams of a lunar defeat
its shoes are pale and purged
like the gelatin rifle of a neo-soldier
the eagle has gestures of alleged void
its udder swollen with lightning
the lion wears a mustache in pure flamboyant gothic
its hide is calm
it laughs like an inkspot
the crayfish has the bestial voice of a raspberry
the good breeding of an apple
the compassion of a plum
the lechery of a pumpkin
the cow is taking the parchment road
which vanishes in a volume of flesh
each hair of this volume has an enormous volume
the serpent jerks itchingly and itchingly
around washbasins of love
filled with arrow-pierced hearts
the stuffed butterfly becomes a stuffed stutterfly
the stuffed stutterfly becomes a big stuttering stutterfly
the nightingale waters stomachs hearts brains guts
that is to say lilies roses marigolds lilacs
the flea carries its right foot behind its left ear
it left hand in its right hand
and jumps on its left foot over its right ear
