History has Many Meanings

Does the word history have different meanings? Last night (for homework) you considered the different uses of the word history.

Period 2:
-H(ev) is past and then gone

-H(ev) is past and then is gone
-H(ev) is both physical and emotional
-H(ev) is bigger with more facts

-H(ev) is lifelike and complex
-H(ev) is true
-H(ac) is in the present
-H(ac) is tends to be physical
-H(ac) is a creation
-H(ac) can be used over and over
-H(ac) is only a part of an event
-H(ac) is selective
-H(ac) is can be false
Period 4:
-H(ev) has happened once in past and then disappears
-H(ev) is has many facts
-H(ev) is never fully known
-H(ev) has many experiences and views including emotions and thoughts
-H(ac) is information about what happened
-H(ac) is created by someone
-H(ac) reflects a person's point- of-view
-H(ac) is has fewer facts than an event
-H(ac) involves personal choice
-H(ac) is more interpretation and opnion
-H(ac) is known

History as all past Events
H(ev)

-Includes everything that happened in the past
-Happened once
-All inclusive
-Invisible once it has happened
-Many, many facts including thoughts and feelings are part of H(ev)
History as Account or Representation
H(ac)

-Includes only a part of what happened in the past
-Can be used over and over
-A record of the past
-Created by someone
-Reflect's someone's point-of- view
-Can be false or inaccurate
-Typically can be touched or seen
-The account rarely captures everything that is in an event
