Spoken by Lord Krishna, the Supreme Personality of Godhead to His intimate disciple Arjuna, the Gita's seven hundred concise verses provide a definitive guide to the science of self realization. Amongst other philosophical or religious work Bhagavad-Gita is unique in its delineation of deep principles such as the nature of consciousness, the self, the universe and the Supreme, in a lucid and profound way. Group Meditation
Meditation has been defined as self-regulation of attention,in the service of self-inquiry. ‘Ma’ means the mind and ‘tra’ means to deliver. Thus, ‘Mantra’ means to deliver the mind from mental agonies brought about by negative contemplations to internal satisfaction and peace. Mantra-meditation is a spiritual discipline involving the meditative repetition of a ‘mantra’ or name of God. It is a mental discipline by which one attempts to get beyond the conditioned "thinking "mind into a deeper state of relaxation or awareness. It is known to be effective in getting relief from bad habits, depression, inferiority complexetc. Our consciousness is like a piece of crystal, but it takes the color of whatever is near it. It is only through meditation that we can go beyond our colored consciousness and come to discover our true nature. When we are in touch with our ownselves, we can naturally be peaceful. Meditational so helps us understand our own mind. Thus, it enables us to transform the state of our mind from negative to positive, from disturbed to peaceful, and from unhappy to happy. Overall, this group meditation circle will help us in attaining improved health, increased efficiency and peaceful mind, and there by increased happiness and inner peace.
