Chapter 5 Descriptive Statistics in HLM

1. The table displaying descriptive statistics for ACTIVATE by TREATMENT and REGION cannot be generated in HLM.

2. Figure 5.1 cannot be generated in HLM.

For simple line graphs of ACTIVATE by Level 1 and Level 2 variables, select File, Graph Data, and Line plots / Scatter plots after reading in the MDM file. Set an indicator for one level of REGION as the X-axis variable, set ACTIVATE as the Y-axis variable, select the number of Level 2 groups (animals) to graph, and then select a Level 2 variable (if applicable) as the Z-focus variable. Then, select a the type of plot to be Line plot, and set pagination to be All groups on same graph.
