Prior to becoming a student at the University of Michigan, Helen has worked with aerodynamic simulations, thermoacoustics, and flamelet methods as part of her undergraduate research. It is therefore only natural that her current project is one part machine learning and one part reduced-order modelling. She appreciates the breadth of the aerospace engineering field and, just as importantly, the variety of challenges and abundance of learning opportunities that accompany it. Her hobbies include reading, drawing, and playing video games, with all three tending toward the science fiction genre.
