Crystal Talks About How We Met:
We met in November 1997 through a mutual friend of ours, Greg Gramlich. At the time, Aaron was Greg's roommate at the University of Michigan. I met Greg on the Internet about 2 years previous. One day I drove down to U-M from the Saginaw area to see an Adam Sandler concert with Greg. This was not the first time I had met Greg but it was the first time I met Aaron. To be honest, I thought he was a bit of a geek. I came down again not long after that to watch the Michigan Football team kick the crap out of Penn State, and again to actually attend the the Ohio State game in November at Michigan Stadium. I remember this game, it was huge. The Wolverines kicked the crap out of the Buckeyes and this was the year that Charles Woodson won the Heisman and they went undefeated winning the Rose Bowl and a share of the national title with Nebraska. We went to a party after the win and this was where I realized how charming Aaron was. About 3 weeks later it was somewhat official and I would be spending nearly every weekend in Ann Arbor through the month of April. Aaron finally graduated in the spring and we moved out to Hillsboro, Oregon (on the west side of Portland) for his new job as a Component Design Engineer at Intel Corporation. We arrived there at the end of May 1998 and have been doing well since then. We got engaged on April 23rd 1999. We adopted our first retired racing Greyhound, who we named Ash, in June 1999. This was after buying our first house the month before. On August 26th, 2000, we said "I DO!" Our first baby, Jack, was born on June 2, 2002. In July of 2004 we finally moved back to Michigan to be with our families. Our second baby boy, Grant, was born May 1, 2005. We currently reside in Pittsfield Township in the Ann Arbor school district with an Ypsilanti address.
