Hi Nyla,
I just wanted to point out that in Mrs. Bork's book, page
1096, you find Austin Banks Burnett. He is my Great Grandfather.
Buried here in Lynchburg, Virginia about a mile from my house at
the Old Beulah Baptist Church Cemetery. Anyone interested in a
copy of the cemetery plat, a drawn map to the graveyard, a
photograph of the grave site, etc. by all means, please let me
know! Will be more than happy to accomadate my kin and cousins.

James, I have a William Turner that "disappeared" and the time
period works out with your William. I certainly do not know if
this is your William, but thought I would send you this. I have
he is William A. Turner, Jr, but I cannot verify the middle
initial and I have found they are often wrong on these early
folks. Until a week ago, I thought this William was my direct
ancestor, but additional research leads me to believe that I am
descended from his cousin William. The William about whom I am
writing was born Jan 1 1791 and according to several accounts,
moved to TN. Again, I realize this is not the info you have, but
I cannot verify this location. You did not mention where in SC,
but some of William's cousins had gone to the parts of SC that
bordered GA--Wilkes, Lincoln Co, GA. Was this the area of SC
where your William went? Also, one of William's brothers married
a Martin. Meshack Martin married a Nancy Martin. I have checked
my database and I do not see a Jane Martin. However, I have
little of the Martin info. There were lots of them around! And,
this Turner line married a number of Burnetts. There are many
differences here, but with the similarity of dates and allied
families, I thought it was worth mentioning.

These Turners certainly can be confusing!

Nyla, sorry but I have a new e-mail address. When I posted the
other one I was in the process of changing. This one should be
permanent - sort of.

I also failed to include that my ancestor Jane Martin (wife of
William B. Turner of South Carolina -----> Ellis County, TX) was
the daughter of Martin Martin.

1. We changed servers at work andI have a new email adress. I can
be reached at jwinslow@le.state.ut.us, I also have a home email
j.@lgcy.com

2. Help! I have lost the path to Cris Gaunt's Burnett/ Turner
archive.

3. Could someone tell me about June Bork. I have worked
extensively with her Burnett's and Their Connections, and Book 1
of her The Burnetts and Barnetts record book. The Family History
Library in Salt Lake does not have book 2. Does any one know
where I can find a copy of book 2. If it is not available I would
pay for a copy of the Virginia Section.

4. On page 346 of book 1 of the record book Bork says that the
Family of Moses and Rachel Morley Burnett settled in Washington
Co. Ky from Frederick Co. Va. I have been searching Marriage,
probate, and census records and cannot find a significant Burnett
presence in Frederick Co.

I have found a Lettice Burnett m James Watson in 1797;
John Burnett m. Mary Gaudy in 1790:
and Daniel Burnett rented 745 acres in 1746.

I need to know more about Moses Burnett and what if any
connection he has to the Old Rappahaock/Essex Co. Burnetts.
