The Ross I am looking for is a Mary Ross b abt 1740-50. My 2nd great Aunt
was a
professional geneaologist, and in their day, they had to take the trains
around to all the little court houses in VA. (Early 1900's). She was doing
research on the Dunbars. She has it down that a Mary Ross married our Joseph
or WIlliam Dunbar. And her father was supposedly a Rev. Alexander Ross. Have
found several Alexander Ross's in the southwest VA. But have no concrete
sources on the marriage of Mary and Joseph/William. Mary remarried an Issac
Dawson in Monroe CO, in 1799. So I am not sure if her name was Ross......
how is everything with you? Adjusting to California life? You probably won't
miss the
winters back east! You wouldn't believe what happened Nyla, one of my worst
nightmares came true.....I was trying back up my FTM on Zip Drive, and the
file was evidently damaged or something, I lost all of research and work,
1500 names. But all is not lost, as I had just updated my GEDCOM to Kindred
Konnections 2 weeks ago.....so they sent it back to me, but it's going to
take a lot of work to get it back on track.....
If you think the Ross list will be advantageous to me, then its fine to put
me back on the list.

names his son James Hardin. These all live in Bedford, Va for many
years. I notice that Terri lists Hardin as a surname. This name is
used in another generation also. Elijah's wife was Sarah----Hardin?????
