Noticed several people asking about the tie-in of PEDIGOs with the TURNERs
and
BURNETTs, Please believe me when I say there are many. Nyla's list of
connections just scratches the surface (she missed mine ;-)

[ALL: I only listed the TURNERs that were mentioned in the PEDIGO/PEREGORY
files submitted by Thomas F. O'Connell. Nyla]

The PEDIGO (PEREGOY) families are one of the founding families of Patrick and
Henry Counties, VA. They are intermarried with all the local families
including ROSS, VIA, HOUCHINS, HANCOCK, TURNER, BURNETT, etc, etc, etc. When
you program all these families into the computer and look at them, they
resemble interlocking DNA (which they are at another level).

At another scale, the PEDIGOs are one of the founding families of the Patrick
- Henry Allied Families of Virginia, Inc. This group of 17 of the founding
families has met annually since the early 1950's. My PEDIGO grandmother and
her TURNER mother were responsible for assembling much of the groups
ancestoral information during the early years of the group. At this past
June's meeting/picnic we had a sub group of 5 researchers of PEDIGOs get
together (sorry you missed it Tom). Of course, many TURNER, VIA, ROSS,
BURNETT, STOVALL, HATCHER, etc family members there. Great fun and a
fantastic source of info as we have many attendees in their 80's and 90's
with family stories to tell.

So, when you see my TURNER postings in the compilations (Nyla, probably be
about 20 this time) or VIA or ROSS or one of the other founding families,
please remember my tie in is through the PEDIGOs.

great grandson of Benjamin B. PEDIGO and Mary Ann TURNER

There was a recent question about the HOLLAND and TURNER connections.
Actually I have several listed here...

Here is my first listing:
1.	Sally TURNER-1818. Sally married (1) Drury HOLLAND-1826 on 1785. Sally is
the daughter of Elijah TURNER of the Bedford County, VA TURNER line posted
here
several times.

Here is my second listing:
Descendants of Frances HOLLAND-930

First Generation

1.	Frances HOLLAND-930 was born in Franklin Co., VA. Frances married (1)
Andrew H. TURNER-914, son of William TURNER-499 and Jane HUNTER-493 on 5
Apr 1824 in Franklin Co., VA. Andrew was born 27 May 1797 in Henry Co., VA.
He
died 3 Dec 1887 in Franklin Co., VA.
They had the following children:
	+	2	M	i.	William H. TURNER-1237 was born Sep 1825.
3	M	ii.	John TURNER-1239 was born in VA.
4	M	iii.	Abner TURNER-1240 was born in VA. Abner
married (1) ___ WADE-1243.

MENEFEE-1244.
They had the following children:
		10	M	i.	Morton W. TURNER-1245.

For most of us though the HOLLAND line is connected indirectly by other lines
than
directly to the TURNERs. The most common connections seem to be with the
HANCOCKs who were intermarried with everyone in the region including the
CORNs,
PEDIGOs, TURNERs, SINKs, PHILPOTTs, etc. I am directly descended from the
HANCOCKs down several lines. Following is the largest block of HOLLANDs I
have. If
anyone can expand this line, I sure would appreciate the help (by the way, a
friend is
looking for input on BRADSHAWs of Nottoway County that married into this
HOLLAND line if anyone has additional).

Nyla, Thanks for he defense. I shoud have explained That Pedigo s a
corruption of Peregoy. There are at least 200 marriages between
Pedigo/Peregoy desc and the Turner Ross, Via, Burnet Families and their
desc. These people more or less started out in VA but branches migrated
together to just about evrey place in the USA

My Great-Grandfather-George Washington died at an early age. Ten years
later Margaret Jane Died leaving my Grandfather and his brother orphans.
My Grandfather and his brothers were raised by their Aunt Georgina
McNutt. My Family heritage was always a mystery until I decided it was
time to solve where my family came from.

I know all about the Burnetts, now I am researching all the connecting
families. I do have the Woolseys all the way back to Cardinal Woolsey.

I like Ricky appreciate learning about anyone that is possibly
related and I too have met a lot of new friends and cousins in the past
few few years that I have been working on Genealogy.

I look forward every years to seeing all my friends and relatives
at the different Highland Games.

I would like any help I can get solving the mystery of the Uncle
James that lived with George Washington Burnett in Bowie, TX James was a
physician, born in Tennessee. I found him in Arkansas at an earlier date .
He is 70 on the 1880 TX Census.

Keep up the good work.

Can you put me back on the list please.
