About organization, I once had someone ask me for information on my

Hi! Well, I actually got around to reading David's latest Turner listings-
comps 186-188, I think. Anyway, I found our mysterious Joseph Turner
who married Liddie Nowlin listed there. Joseph is a son of Josiah Turner
who married Mildred Key. And Josiah is a son of Shadrack Turner and
Ann Hill. So, he really did exist! Just thought I'd share!

122. Meshack TURNER-6644 was born about 1790 in Wilkes Co., GA.
He died 9 Nov 1880. Meshack married (1) Mary Ann ROBERSON-6643,
daughter of John ROBERTSON-7155 on 15 Jun 1809 in Wilkes Co., GA.
Mary was born about 1790 in GA. She died 1810. They had the following
children:
+ 372 M i. Roberson H. TURNER-7154 was born 1810.
David--I sent you this. I was wrong. Roberson is more likely to be the son
of Richard who was son of the Shadrack in Lincoln Co in 1800 but still
can't prove. When he remarried the 8 year old Roberson is nowhere in his
family. Please remove roberson in your file until I can get better
confirmation of parentage. The data on his children is OK except his birth
is 1809--the 1810 was from Census.
The marriage does say Roberson for her though her father was
Robertson--expect it should be Robertson but it's funny that her own
father--who performed the marriage would spell her name incorrectly???

just wish there were more people working on the GA Meshack branch.

hear from you.
I never thought we'd have more than a dozen folks exchanging information.
We're now about 165+. We have had a few to unsubscribe, but we
continue to add new folks. I guess, as long as folks continue to send me
information, I'll have a job. Has anyone noticed that I'm getting better
with
numbering the compilations? <grin> There for awhile, I thought I might
get fired since I was double numbering.
