Hi Nyla and group,
I am forwarding on a few Burnett names I found in the Madison County
Kentucky Marriage Books 1786-1899. Thought someone might see someone
they are familiar with. I found my "Jerry" as well. His full name was
indeed Jeremiah. Now if I can just connect with anyone that may be
familiar with my Jeremiah!!

Note: She was first married to Schuyer Burnett, SEE ABOVE.

Now the Jeremiah Burnett married to Charlotty Baker was born in 1837,
the son of Betsy Hoskins. I figure her name is Hoskins and this is her
second marriage. I'd like to find out which Burnett she was married to.
Her name was probably Elizabeth. Jeremiah's sister Elizabeth married
Coleman Hoskins. Jeremiah is my GG Grandfather, Betsy would be my GGG
Grandmother.
Schuyler Burnett was Jeremiah's son. Letty Burnett, that married John
VanWinkle was his daughter.
I believe in these records where it shows a Mrs. Elizabeth Burnett
married to John Hoskins is our Betsy. I also think there is a
possibility that JW Burnett and William were siblings, but I need HELP!!
I saw two or three letters on the Burnetts from folks and would like to
hear from them about their lines. They are Madam X, MKELLEY345, and
Glenda Subyak. I got Glenda's from comp #131. I am interested in her
J.W. Would you folks please, please Write!!! We may have a connection.
Any other folks out there that may see something familiar, please
write!! I will be most anxious to hear from you!!

Sincerely,
Tammy Burnett Lillich

Subj: The Family of Peter Frank Turner

Most of these folks are deceased, so I don't think anyone will mind if I
post them to the list. Since they were recently posted, this may seem
repetitive, but many of you would like to know who is included in the photo
that was also mentioned. This was a God-fearing family, and I know of no
other in my region who was more respected. Peter Frank and James C. were
saw-mill owners who worked long hard hours in all kinds of weather to make a
living for their families, as were the rest of them. Individuals may have
been "bootleggers," but not all.

Descendants are school teachers, engineers, ministers, some have served with
the sheriffs department, and one grand-daughter was a successful model whose
face could be seen on the covers of Bride, Vogue, etc. magazines.

Someone recently mentioned a photo of this family. I also have a copy of
this photo: This was presented to the Patrick County Historical Society
by Eleanor Turner, who is the widow of John Turner, youngest son of Peter
Frank and Eura Woolwine Turner to be included in the pictoral history of
Patrick County. A booklet and a calender was published. The booklet is
sold out at the present time, however, the Historical Society plans a
reprint sometime in the spring. I will notify the list when it is
available. Anyone with Patrick County roots will want a copy. It covers
many people and places in the county.

Below is a list of those included in the photograph:
James C. Turner (son)
Laura Vaughan Turner (dau-in-law)
Kittly Lou Turner (dau)
Georgia Mae Turner (dau)
Peter Frank Turner (father)
Crawford C. Turner (son) sitting in his father's lap, age abt. 4-5
Eura Woolwine Turner (2nd wife of Pater Frank)
Alice Mae Turner (dau) sitting in her mother's lap, age abt. 2-3
Stephen Homer Turner (son) Father of Clyde Turner who was recently
mentioned)
Emmett Green Newman (who married Nan)
Virginia Alice Woolwine (sister of Eura)
John Morrison ( Grandfather of Eura and Virginia Woolwine)
Anyone wanting hard copy of this photo, send me your address by e-mail and
I'll be glad to mail you a copy.

Subj: TURNER, John & James; Craven CO,SC>Holmes CO, FL;1752-now
Date:	97-11-07 01:21:34 EST
From:	whunter@silcom.com (Wayne & Georgann Hunter)

Still looking for James C. born abt 1802 in SC. His father was John TURNER.
We don't know his mother's name at this time. His siblings were; Joseph -
1791, Steven - 1795, Mary - 1797, Alexander - 1800, Dempsey - 1804 and
George C. - 1805. All John's children were born in SC.

James' father, John-1752, followed his sons to Holmes CO, FL and we believe
he died there in abt 1840's, but have no proof. We believe that John had
two brothers named; Alexander - 1748 and James - 1756 who came over from
Ulster, Ireland on Jan 12, 1768 on the "John and Mary" to SC. There were
two other TURNER's on that ship that could be their parents, William and
Margaret TURNER. William and his sons (if they are) were given land grants
in Craven CO, SC.

James married Mary Polly FENNELL on Mar 12, 1825 in Early CO, GA. Mary and
James had the following known children; Alexande1828, Elizabeth Jane-1826,
John J.-1830, Dempsey Fennell-1832, Rutha-1834, Joseph A-1836, Sarah-1839,
Caroline-1843, Dicy Ann-1845, Clem Fennell-1847, Henry C.-1950 and one
unknown. The first two children where born in AL. The next six where born
in FL and the last two where born in Leon CO, TX. James received a land
grant in west FL after serving in the Creek Indian War. He and Mary settled
in Walton CO, FL in 1830. Walton CO was later to become Holmes CO.

Some of the other states that the TURNER's were in are; AL, GA, LA and TX.
