I have just sent a GEDCOM file to CGaunt@umich.edu on the Turner/Philpott
families and related families. This file has 3818 individuals, 1334
families, 4905 events, 308 sources and 6924 citations. It takes 1.01MB of
compter space and takes about 40 minutes for me to upload. Slow computer
again..
I see that she has already published an ASCII file that I sent on the
ancestors of Drucilla Philpott. Hope you got some info off that.
If you have any questions after this GEDCOM file is published, don't hesitate
to write direct. Will try to help as much as I can.

Just a note to remind you that Shadrack, Meshack and Abednego Turner's father
was born in Caroline County, Virginia, and was the son of Richard Turner of
Caroline County. I have never found a brother, John, connected with them.

I have had several requests for more data on "Robert Burnett and Sara
Johnson" of Aberdeen Scotland, supposedly the parents of John Burnett
who married Isabel Burnett. The original Church & Baptismal Records
giving Birth & Marriages of Aberdeen do not have a "Robert & Sara"
marriage or as parents of John. IF someone has found such a record,
please let Nyla know. In the meantime, please delete these "Parents,
Robert & Sara" from your records. A rumor like this will plague us
forever and we will not be able to ever find the parents of John &
Isabell.
Plus John Burnett and Isabel Burnett's son THOMAS BURNETT, chr. 2 Sep
1574 was NOT CALLED "SIR THOMAS." Please delete the "SIR" from your
records.
Also Jerry has just asked for proof on the wife of Jeremiah Burnett I
(1718-1773+), shown in Burnetts and Their Connections, Vol. 1:52. I said
in quote: "There is a marriage dated 16 Oct 1738 in Talbot Co, Maryland
to MARY McDANIEL of St. Peter's Parish. And another one dated 27
January 1746 in New Jersey to REBECCA BROWNE of Burlington. I DID NOT
RESEARCH EITHER OF THESE. Either one or both COULD belong to this
Jeremiah." These marriages still have not been researched and I DO NOT
KNOW the answer. Everyone should put a "?" beside these two ladies.
In Vol 2:66 heading: "1B167) CHARLES BURNETT, son of Jeremiah Burnett I
and Mary McDaniel." I also neglected to put a "?" beside Mary's name.
Thank you Jerry for bringing this to my attention. If anyone finds
other questionable data in the 3 Volumes, I would appreciate knowing
about it. I am constantly updating the books and will tell you about
other new developments later. June
