Subject: Comp 300 - Burnett-Turner-Ross-Via-Etc/Etc

31 Dec 1997

Greetings to Everyone:

A big welcome to all our new folks. If you haven't done so already, be
certain to check out all our compilations on Chris Gaunt's home page:

       http://www-personal.umich.edu/~cgaunt

We look forward to hearing from you and receiving any information you care to
share on your family.

A big hug to everyone who has shared information with us recently. I realize
this is a very small compilation. However, it was about the twenty-second one
for the day. Compilations #279-#300 were mailed today. You folks are
keeping me busy. (Stop laughing, David.)

Happy New Year.

It is with great sadness that I pass on this piece of sad information. Dr.
James H. Turner passed away Dec 24, 1997. Dr. Turner wrote The book Cathell-
Rangeley- Turner. He lived his last years in Coco Fl. Thanks. Sherman

Does anyone know when the community of Goblintown became Elamsville in what is
now Patrick County, Virginia? I know Goblintown was still used on mail in
1833 and Elamsville was on mail in 1855. Can anyone narrow it down further for
me? Also, when and how name of Goblintown came about?
Thanks,

David

Thank you for adding me to your email list.
Unfortunately, I do not have the time to pursue genealogy at this time.
Please take my name off your email list.
Thank you,

Thanks Nyla for adding me to the list.

My names listed below are Franklin/Floyd/Patrick area families. None of
my direct line went to WVA that I know of...

After I catch up reading some compilations, I'll send some of my stuff
for discussion.

Thanks,
Debbie DeHart
