I've been having problems with AOL again. I'm trying to send eMails. They

Thanks for posting the obit on Arthur Via. I have him in my files and find his
ancestors connect to just about all the Patrick/Henry Counties families. I
found it interesting that while I have him and his children, I did not have
his spouse or their mother. I noted she was not mentioned either in the obit.
Perhaps someone in our group can provide that missing data.

Regarding Halifax Turners - Will Bk 1:45 - 1773 - Will of JAMES TURNER,
editorial note indicated this widow, KERRENHAPPUCH TURNER, married Robert
Sanford. It was not this widow, rather it was this widow's daughter
KERRENHAPPUCH who married ROBERT SANFORD. WIDOW KERRENHAPPUCH TURNER was
living in Richmond County North Carolina in 1795 as follows.
Halifax Co VA Deed Book 13, Page 138.- 1785 Know all men by these presents,
that I, JAMES TURNER, of Halifax Co, State of Virginia, for divers good causes
and considerations to me there unto especially moving, have and by these
presents doth for myself and my heirs, executors and administrators, release,
acquit and exonerate and discharge unto my mother, KERRENHAPPUCK TURNER of
said county, all her rights and titles, interest and claims of dower into all
and everything, the slaves and personal estate, she, the said KERRENHAPPUCK
TURNER is now possessed in right of JAMES TURNER, my father and her late
husband, which descends to me as heir-at-law, after the death of the said
KERRENHAPPUCK TURNER, she being now about to remove with me to the State of
North Carolina. And in case my said mother should survive to return again to
the State of Virginia, or continue in the State of North Carolina the slaves

Additional records which I could not locate indicate KERRENHAPPUCK TURNER died
