David, I have just read your family history on Compilation # 31. This is my
family also. I am a direct descendant of both John and Jeremiah Turner, sons of
Shadrack. Two things I want to ask and they both have to do with sources. I
know that John Turner (CA 1690) and the madien name for Shadrack's wife,
Ann, are controversial. My friend, and cousin, Jim Turner, author of Cathell,
Rangley, Turner, a Family History, researched this for years without finding
proof. He is ill now and does not do research any more. Both he and I would
very much appreciate it if you could send me your sources for these data. Ann

Larkin Turner, and md Clinton Martin in 1908. This could not have been
Larkin Turner, son of Shadrack - so who was this Larkin? Who were his
parents and siblings?

I'm curious where your Turner and Burnett ancestors were from. Patrick/
Henry VA? I descend through Rev. John Turner and Elizabeth (Burnett)
Turner. My ancestor was John Burnett Turner from Patrick Co VA => Raleigh
Co VA (now WV) in 1857.

Nyla,
My Turner and Burnett do not connect like yours. This is what I have:
TURNER
My possible Turner ancestor was Mary (Turner?), born about 1745,
died about 1841 in Caswell Co, NC. She married John Kimbrough
about 1764.
They had these Kimbrough children from about 1765 to 1782: James,
Sarah, Thomas, Nancy, Frances, William, Patsy, John Jr and Tabby.
I descend from Frances.
If any of this fits in with what you have, please let me know.
