Hello to Everyone:

I received an inquiry on the PEREGOY family. I''ve suggested Jason subscribe

Best wishes to all,

Hello, list,

I have been with this interesting group for so long that I don't remember
how to tell someone to subscribe. Could someone please repeat the
instructions and send them to DEBBIE at dhill@srcaccess.net. She is
searching for MOSES BURNETT of Patrick Co VA, and I KNOW someone here can
help her.

As ever,

Carole

I am stumped on my gg-grandfather [listed below]. Perhaps someone can help
me with parents and or siblings of Moses BURNETT. Moses, only appears in
one census of 1850 Jackson Co TN, living with his wife and children in the
household of father-in-law Zachariah Potter.

Thanks,
Debbie Hill
dhill@srcaccess.net

1. Moses BURNETT was born 1820 in TN, and died Bef. 1860 in TN. He married
Esther POTTER, daughter of Zachariah POTTER and Mary PLUMLEE. She was born
December 10, 1818 in TN, and died August 05, 1889 in Whitewright Grayson Co
TX.

Children of Moses BURNETT and Esther POTTER are:
 i. Nancy Jane BURNETT, b. 1844, TN; m. Jesse McGurie SKIPWORTH, Abt.
1861, TN; b. 1835, Jackson Co TN; d. TX.
ii. Mary A. "Polly" BURNETT, b. Abt. 1846, TN.
iii. Permela BURNETT, b. April 03, 1848, TN; m. Samuel J. SPEAR, September
25, 1870; d. July 25, 1923.
iv. Milton Moses BURNETT, b. June 03, 1849, TN; d. March 28, 1933, Clay Co
TN.
 v. Martha Ann BURNETT, b. October 25, 1852, Jackson Co TN; d. June 28,
1941, Sherman, Grayson Co TX; m. abt. 1871 A. B. SKIPWORTH; b. 1850, Jackson
Co TN; d. 1904, Fannin Co TX.
vii. John Monroe BURNETT, b. June 1854, Celina Clay Co TN; d. 1929, Slaton
Lubbock Co TX.
viii. Denton BURNETT, b. Abt. 1858, TN.

I just found out last night:
In the obit of my great grandmother Martha Ann Burnett Skipworth dated it
is stated besides her children, grand children, etc; she had/s a 1st cousin
Vice President John Nance Garner, I have no idea if Garner is related
through the Burnett or Potter side of the family.

I would like to invite you all to take a look at the new Home Page that my
cousin, Tom Osborne, and I are creating on the RootsWeb Freepages. We have
included (so far) the family of James Washington and Ora Atwood (Elliott)
Burnett and their children from Paducah, KY as well as Tom's Osborne family.
We have added some fun things too, like the Famous Unrelated (as far as we
know) Burnetts and Osbornes.

This is definitely my line you are discussing. I have pictures of Frank,
Bessie Lily, Lizzie, Pryor, and Lee Burnett. I believe the relationships
are very different than what you describe however. We need to compare notes
on this. The Frank Burnett you mention, son of James Burnett and Catherine
Tilley, is my great-grandfather.

I am a direct descendent of Betsey Tilley & Woodden Burge though Samuel

I have been unable to find any Burnett linkage until now and therefore I am
quite interested. You can see how the Pryor name and the Burnett names come
together. Mary Burnett being my 3rd great grandmother. and Elizabeth Jane
"Betsey" or Betsy Tiley my 4th great grandmother.

What do you think?

I do not have a Grace Burnett in my data base. Do you have her parents or
grandparents? Do you have a location? If she is still living it will be
difficult to find any information on her.
