To All Burnetts, Turners, Via etc.
I just wanted you to know I still want to be part of the list.
Also, I though everyone might like to know that our Arizona Highland
Games are coming in February. They will be held February 21 and 22nd at
the Mesa Community College. If you live in the area you might like to
stop by. I will be representing the House of Burnett.
You can't miss getting there, Mesa Community College is right off of 60
on Dobson. So, if you manage to have the week end off drive over and
visit. Remember you-all-come.

Chris,

In your Packwood posting of Compilation #329 Descendants of Elish Packwood.
Under his son John Ira PACKWOOD and his first wife Jane STAMPS ... you have
listed 6 children and their descendant lines.. However, all of their
birthdates occur after the death of his second wife, much less his first.
Would you please review your data and send the group a correct list if you
have it?

Thanks,
David

We're seeking further information in our TURNER line.
We are pretty sure that the James Turner whose will is dated July 8,
1785 in Halifax County, VA is the right James Turner, father of our
ancestor Ransom Turner. The names of his children appear often further
down the line.
In addition to Ransom, his will lists children: Armistead,
Bazel(Boswell?), Abner, Mastain(Martin?), Fanny, Susannah, Elizabeth.
No wife is named, but he names his brother William, "loving friend"
Moses Turner, and friend Thomas Stanfield as executors.
Will is witnessed by Thomas Turner, William Holt, Barnet Turner, and
James Turner (a different one?)
We would hope that some of the wills and deeds in Halifax county might
help us
move further up the line, but will welcome new data in any direction.

Nyla,
I understand you are researching the Turner Family. I'm also
looking for some. I'm looking for a W. H. (Wilber H.)and Mae (STONE)
TURNER. They had a Daughter Nellie Born in Winifrede, Kanawha Co.
Aug. 14,1892. It listed her father a miner. There was 5 other children
Stella, Della,Nellie, Oscur, Otto born between 1888 and 1900. I Have
nothing else to go on. I would be very greatful for any help on this.
I've hit the famous brick wall right out of the starting gate.
