Hi,
I'm new to the list- read a lot of the archived digest to see how you went
about this.
My lines goes through Shadrack Turner-ca 1720-1784, m. Ann Pollard Hill?
Elizabeth Turner,ca 1750-1845,m.Samuel Packwood,1750-1824
Richard Packwood,ca 1777-1830,m. Nancy Spaulding,1781-1850
Martha Packwood,ca 1810-1874,m. Johnson Thompson,1812-1896
Elizabeth Thompson,1838-1894,m. James Harvey Carter,1832-1906
Lorenzo Dowell Carter,1860-1909,m. Paulina Frasher,1860-1888
Melvin Carter,1883-1957,m. Clara Miller,1897-1991
My Mother-Gertrude Carter, m. Achree Tabor, 1920-1961
Me, Dottie Tabor,m. Larry Blankenship
I've been searching for some time for proof to show Martha Packwood as being
the daughter of Richard Packwood & Nancy Spaulding, but can't find it. I
wrote Patrick Co. Historical Society, they haven't got it there. I have got
the marriage record for Richard & Nancy Packwood from Patrick Co.Va, and also
the will of Samuel Packwood.
Does anyone know of any published books that would show the parents of Martha
Packwood are? I need this to prove Samuel as my Rev. War ancestor for my DAR.
I am interested in hearing from any descendants of Samuel Packwood, esthrough
this son, Richard!
