Hi Cuzins,
Several times people have asked me about newspaper archives in Bedford,
Virginia. The following news papers archives are held by the Jones Memorial
Library in Lynchburg, Virginia. You can access there web site from mine at,
http://www.geocities.com/Heartland/3348/ They really have an extremly well
done web site that is worth your time to take a close look at.

Hi,
I was in Washington DC last week researching. I did see the name Francis
Turner in some of the Bedford County, VA records but didn't do anything as
it was not in my line. The books were under Bedford County, VA, at the DAR
Library. It would have been either a tax list or a probate as that was
primarily what I searched.

I understand that the contents of this book have now been placed online.
Does anyone out know the URL?

Hello, I am trying to find a photo which may be in someones family of James
Prillaman (1831-1910) and/or his wife Martha Cannaday (1837-1891). Martha's
parents were Peter Cannaday (1813-1903) and Mildred Turner (b.1817). Any
help or photos in that family connection would be greatly appreciated.
