Delta Epsilon Iota was established for the purpose of identifying and encouraging undergraduate scholars whose Dedication, Enthusiasm, and Initiative distinguish them as models of achievement, leadership, and service. Committed to the advancement of its members, the Society promotes lifetime career development skills, supports student-initiated chapter development, and reserves portions of organizational revenue for scholarship awards.

Involvement in the local chapter is one of the most important aspects of membership in Delta Epsilon Iota. Although chapter participation is not a requirement of national membership, meetings, programs, and special events provide a forum for leadership, involvement in the community, and valuable insight into career issues. Active chapter members benefit from their heightened awareness of campus career services, leadership opportunities in designing career-oriented programs, and from the experience of coordinating career goals, academic achievements, and community involvement.

Delta Epsilon Iota members have begun planning their Spring Break Mexico 2010 trips to take advantage of exclusive discounts available to University of Michigan students. Additionally, by using student Credit Cards to plan spring break trips, University of Michigan students can accrue rewards points for use on air and hotel reservations.

Delta Epsilon Iota students seek academic excellence whether at home or at universities abroad, like King Abdulaziz University, where unique culture adds to academic experiences.
