| Doug played for the Sarnia Sailor and the Toronto Marlboros before attending the University of Michigan. He played his collegiate hockey for Coach Vic Heyliger. Doug played center and left wing from 1951-1954. Nicknamed "Dink" and "Elbows" by his teammates, he is one of six Michigan players from the 1951-52 NCAA Championship team to be selected as an All-American. Doug graduated with a degree in Business Education. | |
