There is a peace in winter that is rarely felt at any other time of the year. Perhaps it is because the snow absorbs the sound to make everything quieter. Perhaps it is just the white glow all around that does it. Perhaps it is the way the snow falls through the air, gently, gently. Perhaps it is because the snow blocks the view of everything except what is in the immediate vicinity.

For whatever reason, winter seems to bring out the poet in me as I try to describe the feelings that surface during this time of the year. Below you will find a couple of the winter poems I've written.
