The
Abolitionist Library
|
There was a significant increase in the publication of letters, poetry, and literature that endorsed the end of slavery toward the end of the 18th century. Some well-known names included Sancho, Cowper, William Blake, and Ramsay (87). Many popular authors were formally slaves themselves. In this gallery, you will have a chance to read the work of some of the biggest names in the English language during the 18th century. |
You are more than welcome to take your pick between Black Writers, Poetry, and the writings of Laurence Sterne! |
