It is desired to model the real reactor as a combination of two ideal reactors with parameters n₀₁ =  bn₀ and V₁ =  aV where V is the total reactor volume and n₀ the volumetric flow rate. Determine the model and the model parameters a and b.

First let's convert the (1-F) curve to an F curve

At t = t₁ and t = t₂ we see he slope   is infinite, i.e. E(t) = which suggests two PFRs in parallel
