We would
like to thank Dr. Rosemary Kowalski for teaching English 280, Section
I, at The University of Michigan's Ann Arbor campus. This course
focused on the literature of Chicago during the early to mid 1900s,
namely of novels of the realism movement. Representitive exampes
of literature read and discussed in class are Theodore Dreiser's
Sister Carrie, James T. Farrell's Studs Lonigan, Nelson
Algren's The Man with the Golden Arm, and Richard Wright's
Native Son.
