Initiate of the Jewel (10) - The Jewel of Judgment's abilities are discussed on page 131 of Amber. Partial powers are not allowed for Initiation into the Jewel of Judgment. Shadow Manipulation, Temporal Control and Jewel Teleportation are only possible if the initiate possesses the Jewel.
Adept of the Jewel (10) - Any character who becomes attuned to the Jewel before walking the Pattern is granted a slightly different understanding of the Jewel. Such individuals are given the ability to move through Shadow by the Jewel, and though this movement is slow by comparison to Pattern Shadow walking, Shadow barriers do not impede Adepts of the Jewel. The Jewel also grants an adept the ability to manipulate Shadow, and this ability is not dependent upon possession of the Jewel. Temporal Control and Jewel Teleportation are only possible if the adept possesses the Jewel.
Wielder of the Jewel (15) - It is possible for a sorcerer to learn how to use the Jewel as an aid to spell-casting. Thus he or she can develop Jewel Sight, which performs in much the same way as the Pattern Lens. The sorcerer also learns to hang spells on the Jewel, and to cast spells through the Jewel, which enables the character to target spells across Shadow. Note that none of the powers of a Wielder of the Jewel require the possession of the Jewel.
Mastery of the Jewel (15) - Based upon the description in Amber on page 147 (Oberon) and in Shadow Knight on page 58 (Coral), this is established to give a numerical guideline for the exalted Jewel abilities. Not available to players save through careful role-playing and discussion with the GM. Only one living creature can possess this level of attunement to the Jewel.
Embodiment of the Jewel (25) - Based upon the description in Shadow Knight on page 59 (Coral), this is established to give a numerical guideline for the exalted Jewel abilities. Not available to players.
