Rack & Hang Spells on the Broken Pattern | 10 |
Pattern Imprint (50) - All basic Pattern Imprint abilities are discussed on pages 40-43 of Amber DRPG. Partial powers are not generally allowed for basic Pattern Imprint.
Advanced Pattern Imprint (25) - Advanced Pattern Imprint abilities are discussed on pages 43-45 of Amber DRPG. Partial powers are allowed for Advanced Pattern Imprint. Note that in the QOA campaign the ability Rack & Hang Spells on the Pattern is a standard part of API, a deviation from the books.
Disguise Pattern (5) - This ability is discussed on page 44 of Amber DRPG.
Pattern Glamour (5) - An ability unique to the QOA campaign, Pattern Glamour acts as a sort of stuff enhancer, causing a character's actions/words to be perceived as important/serious/dramatic. In some situations Pattern Glamour can simulate the effects of high psyche. This ability is a refinement of the Affect Probability power, and is based upon the following passage from Sign of the Unicorn.
I felt a familiar presence, heard a "Hello, Corwin," and there was Deirdre, reaching toward me. I extended my hand, clasped her own, raised it. She took a step forward, as if to the first strain of some formal dance, and moved close, facing me. For an instant a grilled window had framed her head and shoulders and a rich tapestry had adorned the wall to her left. Planned and posed, of course. Still, effective.
My thanks to Kevin Collins for suggesting this power and aiding in its development.
Instant Pattern Summoning (5) - This power allows the user to call up the sign of the Pattern almost instantly. Not available to players save through careful role-playing and discussion with the GM.
Exalted Pattern (30) - Based upon the descriptions in Amber DRPG on pages 160 (Brand) and 181 (Fiona), this is established to give a numerical guideline for the exalted Pattern abilities. Not available to players save through careful role-playing and discussion with the GM.
Broken Pattern Initiate (10) - Discussed on pages 12-14 of Shadow Knight.
Broken Pattern Adept (15) - Discussed on page 15 of Shadow Knight. Partial powers are not generally allowed for Broken Pattern Adept abilities, and these powers can only be purchased by someone who possesses Sorcery.
