Shapeshifting (35) - All basic shapeshifting abilities are discussed on pages 51-55 of Amber DRPG. Partial powers are not allowed for basic shapeshifting.
Advanced Shapeshifting (30) - Advanced Shapeshifting abilities are discussed on pages 55-57 of Amber DRPG. Partial powers are allowed for Advanced Shapeshifting, but certain powers must be purchased in conjunction with related powers, as shown in the chart above.
Absorb/Expel Mass (5) - This power allows the character to absorb/expel living animal tissue. Note that the shapeshifter must overcome the target's psyche. Absorbed tissue is incapable of shapeshifting until 24 hours have passed. Note that absorbing mass from a living creature usually results in the creature's death.
Forbidden Shapeshift (15) - Based upon the description in Shadow Knight on page 117 (Mandor), this is established to give a numerical guideline for the exalted shapeshifting abilities. Not available to players save through careful role-playing and discussion with the GM.
Shapeshift to Creatures of Power Abilities (5) - Allows the character to reproduce the seemingly supernatural powers of Creatures of Power while still retaining a human form. For example: the fiery breath of a dragon.
Shapeshift thru Shadow (5) - The natural extension of Shapeshift to Creatures of Power Abilities, this power enables the character to simulate the effects of the Amberites' Pattern-charged blood, allowing the shapeshifter to move through Shadow. Note that this process is extremely taxing on the shapeshifter. A shapeshifter of Amber-level endurance could only move through a few Shadows before becoming exhausted. Also note that no shapeshifter can learn this power until he or she has had an opportunity to study someone who has successfully navigated the Pattern.
Elemental Shapeshifting (10) - Allows the shapeshifter to take elemental forms. Still in development.
