Felix's log, Chapter 121

    Felix got into a passive-aggressive fight with Tamaryn over who would take care of the children that day, which resulted in Felix in promising to teach the boys to spit in a vain attempt to make Tamaryn say, "Good God, no! Lord, what have I done?"

    It didn't work.

    Felix teaches the children to spit, and encourages them to show their mother what they've learned. When they suggest it's time to learn how to piss over the side of a wall, Felix tells them that they can only take so much manliness at such a young age...and that pissing over the wall will have to wait for some (much) later date.

    Back in the room, the boys say, "Mommy, Mommy, Mommy," run forward and prepare to hock their loogies. She discourages this.

    Felix is strangely silent at dinner.

    At the ball - Felix dances. Partners of note: his fiancée...Irene (eek!). Irene seems normal - bringing much surprise to Felix. They talk about her boatload of children that she needs to marry off, and Felix suggests his grandchildren (whom are almost all of marrying age, and were brought up to expect that they'd be placed into political marriages). Later in the evening, Felix introduces some of Irene's stepdaughters to some of his older grandsons.
