7. Assimilation to the ㄱ kind
Sounds made in the back of the mouth (like ㄱ, ㅋ, ㄲ, and ㅇ) tend to win out - neighboring sounds often take on their back-of-the-mouth (velar) pronounciation, especially in fast speech.
