Friends of Guatemala was founded at the University of Michigan in 2023 for the purpose of supporting the Q’eqchi’ Mayan village of Seacacar in Guatemala. The village is home to around 52 families and supports two schools which serve the community youth as well as students from a dozen neighboring villages
