James Williston

In the Name of God Amen. Ye 9th day of Janry, in the Yearrf of our Lord Christ 1708: I James Willistone of Kent Island in Queen Anns County being weak in body but of Sound and Disposing mind and memory Thanks be given to Almighty God for ye same, doe make and ordaine This my last will and Testament in manner and forme following first: I bequeath my soul into the lhands of Almighty God who gave it me, my body to the Earth from whence it was Taken to be de[cently] Intered at ye ye Discretion of my Loveing and Executor hereafter [�..].

It is my will and desire that my Loveing Brother in Law George Bellegrave Take into his custody my son George Williston and To keep him till hea arives to ye age of Twenty one Years if he sees fitt to keep him Til Then and to Educate him as well ash he can.

Item: I give and bequeath unto my Loveing son George Williston one hundredn and nineteen Acres of Land called yje name of Lankester lying one y e South side of Chester River in Queen Anne�s County Which ye conveyance will more at Large appear unto my said Son and his heirs for Ever.

Item: It is my will and Desire yt my Loveing Wife Keep my Daughter, Mary Williston and to bring her up in ye feare of God as well as her poor condition will afford and to be at age at Seventeen years of Age--

Item: I do Declare and pronounce y t there is three Ewes among my sheep marked with a crop on both Eares to be none of my Estate but to properly belong to my said Daughter [..?..] of them and their Increase----

Item: I Nominate and appoynt my Trew and Trusty friend Philllip Copege to be my whole and sole Executor of this my Last will and Testament. Revoking all other wills by me formerly made.�Publishing and pronouncing this to be my will in Testament whereof I have here unto set my hand and fixed my Seale ye day and year first above Written.�

Phillip Copedge ye Exc Nominated in ye within will do renounce and Refuse ye sd Office or any rite or claime thereunto as witness my hand and Seale Ye first day of February, 1708-9

That they saw the Testator James Williston Sign Seal and Declare ye within to be his Last will and Testamt and that at the time he was of Sound and Disposing mind and Memory before me.---
