Monthly report on Michigan public assistance programs, including number of
cases, recipients, and payments, by program and county. Programs covered
include Aid to Dependent Children (ADC), State assistance, State and
federally funded emergency assistance, medical assistance, food stamps, SSI,
child welfare, and home help services.
Data are compiled by the Dept of Social Services. Report is issued
approximately 4-6 weeks after month of coverage.
Issues include a table listing; the monthly tables listed below; and
additional tables at the end of the issue. Additional tables include
quarterly tables on public assistance cases by race-ethnicity, day care
participation (including data by age) and payments, and assistance case
processing; other recurring tables; monthly tables that have been omitted
from previous issues due to data unavailability; and revised versions of
monthly or quarterly tables.
Most monthly tables appear in all issues. All additional tables are
described, as they appear, under "Statistical Features."
