UNIVERSAL DESIGN FOR LEARNING - UDL
LeeAnn Sutherland (PI) has received a 4-year NSF grant to develop digital versions of two IQWST units according to principles of Universal Design for Learning (UDL). UDL enables multiple means of presenting information, engaging students, and allowing students to express their understanding, and for this project, is focused on supporting students with learning disabilities. Collaborators include the Center for Applied Special Technology (CAST) and the Education Development Center (EDC). Other UM personnel on this project are faculty members Joe Krajcik (Co-PI), Namsoo Shin, and Chris Quintana, and incoming science ed doctoral student, Kasey McCall.
