West Engineering / West Hall

This building was completed in 1904, it shows the ever widening field of engineering as we entered into the 20th century.  It would serve as home to the Engineering program until space became short again in the late 20th century and the engineering program moved to North Campus.  After the engineering left East and West Engineering were renamed East and West Hall.  East Hall now houses math and psychology, while west hall houses many different fields within the college of literature, science and the arts.  The building itself was designed by Albert Kahn, who designed many of the buildings still on campus today, including Hill Auditorium and C.C. Little along with several others.  The only remaining part of the engineering campus still on central campus is the naval test tank.
