Unlike the literatim surnames in the transcript, th surnames in this index are normalized, making it easier to determine if a name is to be found in the document.
There is an unnamed Armorer, mentioned a few times, paid for trimming swords, pikes, daggers, and other things; it would be good to discover his name. One possible candidate is Walter Snelling. The Liberty also maintains a Soldier, unnamed.
There are several mentions of the 'chain'; find them by searching for 'chain' in this index (easier than searching in the document file, where the spellings are varied). Money is received from two unnamed persons for 'both chains', one of which is probably the copper chain mentioned in another entry.
