This past summer, as advocates in the movement to eradicate violence against women, a group of friends got together and wondered what we could do to raise awareness about global violence against women.  We decided to organize a conference that would bring the most prominent activists in the field to address these issues. Our hope is to raise awareness in the campus community at large about violence against women globally and specifically to address violence that international students may feel they are marginalized from.
