ABOUT THE PROGRAM

We are excited about launching an InnoWorks program at U-M. This year, our focus has been on building our chapter and spreading the word about InnoWorks to the student body and the local community. We have been actively recruiting volunteers, and we look forward to hosting our first summer program in 2008.

The University of Michigan chapter is in its infancy, but we plan on recruiting a diverse, enthusiastic, and motivated group of student volunteers. We believe strongly in our mission of developing talent and inspiring underprivileged youth through InnoWorks summer programs. Further, by training and educating the future scientists and engineers of Michigan, we seek to diversify and develop the lagging state economy and combat the shortage of qualified workers in the STEM field. It is our hope that InnoWorks will have a lasting impact on our future students, our volunteers, and our state.
