whether you believe that america is god's gift to the rest of the world or that america is the source of all evil, or even if you are some "flip-flopper" who thinks that america is not always good nor evil, washington dc is an interesting place to visit.

the escalators to/from the metro are so long, i was able to watch all 3 lord of the rings movies on my laptop before reaching the top. then i saw the "out of order" sign, realized i wasn't moving at all, and called for help. no american should be expected to climb that many stairs, i mean, what am i, some sort of barbarian?
