Our friends Kate & Steve were driving across the country and had never seen the wonders of Niagara Falls before (or did but forgot about it) so we gave them a guided tour to ensure they would not miss such things as the amazing animitronic monkeys of the Rainforest Cafe.

I generally try to exclude ugly man-made objects from my photos, but it should be made clear that Niagara Falls has more in common with Las Vegas than a National Park. It's extreme capitalism, especially the Canadian side, designed to suck as much money as possible from the many tourists who flock from all over the world to see the falls. Those buildings may look harmless and hideous enough, but studies have shown that they also create wind currents that often cause mist to obscure the view from the Canadian side.
