Ian belongs to a royal Irish clan called the MacDermott clan. This clan was very famous in Ireland. Ian is almost a direct descendant of the King of Ireland himself. The King of Ireland once said,"My great great grandson's cousin's great great great great grandson will be the ruler of Ireland one day, and his reign will be long and prosperous." Well, I did a lot of research to find out who this person was. I don't think he'll ever rule Scotland for one reason: Ian doesn't feel like moving to Ireland and becoming King because he thinks he might be dissappointed when he doesn't find leprachauns. Ian also belongs to a famous Scotland clan, The great and powerful clan of the Boyds. Ian has also decided not to move to Scotland because he doesn't know how to play the bagpipes, though he would like to learn how.
